Thomas S. Kang, M.D.
Dr. Kang is a graduate of Stanford University with a B.S. with honors in Biological Sciences and attended Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia where he graduated with AOA honors. He completed one year of surgery internship and four years of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery residency at Stanford University. He then completed fellowship training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Missouri. He has presented research on wound healing at national meetings, and has published several scientific and clinical papers in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Kang is a Board Certified Otolaryngologist who has successfully completed a fellowship and examination sponsored by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS). Along with reconstruction of complex facial defects, he is specialty-trained to perform face lifts, rhinoplasties, and other aging face rejuvenation surgeries.
The AAFPRS is the world’s largest association of facial plastic and reconstructive surgeons. Dr. Kang has been a member of this association since 2004.
He currently serves as Chief of the Section of Otorhinolaryngology at Northwest Medical Center Oro Valley, and is an Attending Surgeonat University Medical Center and Camp Lowell Surgery Center.
Dr. Kang welcomes all patients with medical problems or concerns related to the ear, nose, and throat. In particular, his training exposed him to the latest advances in sinus surgery, facial reconstruction following trauma or skin cancer removal, treatment of snoring and sleep apnea, and treatment of the changes related to the aging face. It was the diversity of patient problems, medical treatment, and surgical techniques that attracted him to this particular medical specialty.
